OMNIS RECORDINGS
Music from our world…
Record labels come and go, but with multiple releases scheduled every month through summer 2007, club nights and events across the globe and an impressive roster of heavy hitter artists and remixers already on board, Omnis Recordings appears to be in for the long haul.
Over the last several years, Omnis has established itself as a powerhouse record label focused on a broad range of sounds from progressive to tech to minimal to main floor mayhem. To date, the labels profile of big room stormers and deep-minimal chuggers have raved support from some of the worlds most dynamic and sought after talents including Hybrid, John Digweed, Sandra Collins, Armand Van Buuren, Cass, Kosmos Epsilon, Taucher and a slue of others. Set up thus far with15 releases all having gone from strength-to-strength, the label concept has always been to release its own unique brand of quality dance music. Simply dubbed “Music from our world…” the lads just sign what they like.
In 2006, as Omnis set its sights on preparing for several years of quality dance, the label branched out with club nights in the states in San Francisco as well as Dublin, Ireland. As the summer weaned down, Omnis ramped up with a bold presence at the years annual LoveFest in San Francisco (previously known as Love Parade). Nearly 65,000 attended the event and Omnis Recordings made its statement with its float front and center in front of City Hall and label guy Jonathan Ojeda mixing the paramount “Official LoveFest Compilation”. This seemed to be the catapult for things to come.
2007 will prove to be the label’s year to shine. Original signings and remixes include works from Gunas, uGeNiCs, Chadwick Strange, Manual De La Mare, Strange OJ, Pete Lunn, Mikel Curcio, Cryonic, Nino Anthony, Jerome Robins, David Phillips and several others. In addition, expect DJ mix compilations and maybe an artist album or two to peak through the clouds. There is nothing shy here so be ready for a great year from this diverse and in demand label called Omnis. If you haven’t heard of them, you will.
